Spring in Live Oak County, Texas brings to mind wild flowers and turkeys.  A clearing in the mesquite and prickly pear cactus is the scene of an age old mating ritual.  It's good to be the King!

This painting, available  as a giclee' print on canvas, was a commission to commemorate the harvest of a "once in a lifetime" white tail buck at the San Pedro Ranch in South Texas.  This deer was 8 1/2 years old and scored over 195 points B&C.

This painting, available  as a giclee' print on canvas, was a commissioned piece of a Boykin Spaniel sitting in a field of native sunflowers and dove weed.  I love that big mourning dove in his mouth.

The setting is a beautiful mott of live oak trees on their ranch in Matagorda, Texas.  It's the largest piece of work I've done, measuring 30x74.
