We call this, "the widgeon pond." That January, the oak leaves turned a beautiful rust color. We had never seen it quite like that before (or since).

My buddies and I had a duck lease for 11 years. We could always depend on a limit of pintails when we were hunting the pit blind. I even got my old chocolate lab, Molly, in the painting.
